About Me

My name is Emma Thrasher, a learning experience designer and educator. This site is to share my thoughts on effective learning strategies and to highlight some of my past projects.

I have a rich background in youth programming for language learning. To see more about my teaching background, please visit my teaching portfolio “From Madame.” I received my BA from Michigan State University, in French and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), along with my Michigan teaching certificate for learners in grades 6-12. In the summer of 2025, I completed my MA in Educational Technology with certificates in Learning Sciences and Learning Design.

I have a passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences. When I am not designing or teaching, I facilitate a monthly conversation hour at the local library for enthusiasts or those curious about French. In my spare time, I am playing the New York Times game Connections, reading at home with my two cats, or exploring the outdoors with my husband, friends, and family.
